Going Home – The Sequel to “A Grandmother’s Tribe”

In December 2008, a team of filmmakers return to Kenya to premiere the film A Grandmother’s Tribe. Crowds gather in Nairobi, Kibera Slum and Funyula Village with excitement as the story of their lives is unveiled to them.

Going Home follows this journey and the incredible changes that have occurred for the people of Kenya since the film and campaign was launched in 2007. This is the story of an idea, a film, and the people for whom life changed as a result of it.
